Joanne Baldwin
Acupuncturist
I am a classically trained Acupuncturist and have studied both Japanese Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2009, I had the opportunity to take a semester at Guangxi Traditional Chinese Medical University and completed internships in three of China’s public hospitals. I also spent the last half of 2016 living in Mumbai (Bombay). Part of my weekly routine involved volunteering at the Barefoot Acupuncture Clinic in Dharavi, India’s largest slum area.
The style of Acupuncture I practice is gentle and painless. My intention is to assist patients on their path to health and wellbeing using a holistic approach, to support their body’s innate healing abilities physically, mentally, and emotionally. I also use a variety of other Chinese Medicine techniques, including moxibustion, cupping, electro-acupuncture and herbal medicine.
I treat patients for both acute and chronic pain management, stress, anxiety and insomnia, and also have a special interest in women’s health, including pregnancy, fertility and IVF support.
